Fitur, International Tourism Trade Fair, will take place in Madrid this next week from the 22 to the 26 of January. Assisting to FITUR is really important for the tourism professional, but also for the general public that will find more information and discover all the latest trends on travel destinations.
In 2014, FITUR celebrates it 34º edition with news and an especial accent on the technology sector regarding the travel and hospitality industry. FITUR Know How & Export, FITURGREEN, FITURTECH y RECEPTIVO ESPAÑA are the names of the international forums celebrated during the fair, that will explore the technology innovations in the tourism sector. Likewise, this edition offers an app for the visitors, the possibility to try the first Tourist App for Google Glasses, the installation “The Room of the Future” and the App Tourism Awards.
This year edition increases its figures to 8.937 participant companies and its space to 54.000 square meters. It will be 165 countries represented in the fair in different pavilions, along the Madrid Convention Center facilities, IFEMA. There is more figures to impress the visitor of FITUR: 116,000 trade participants; 1,800 B2B meetings; 91,000 non-trade visitors; 7,200 journalists, 4,200 media bodies from 59 countries, 150 accredited bloggers; 64,000 fans on Facebook; 28,000 followers on Twitter; 55,000 text messages throughout the course of the trade fair; 6 thematic sections, 80 workshops, conferences, meetings and roundtables; 200 speakers and an impact on 45 million people.
This incredible display of business opportunities will be celebrate from the 22 to the 26 of January, but only the last to journeys are open to the general public. The three first days of the fair are reserved for the professionals of the sector, which will need to show their credentials to buy the ticket. Tickets for professional days will be 25 euros for the three days or 15 euros per day. In the other hand, tickets for the general public in the weekend will be only 8 euros. Both of them can be buy in the FITUR entrances counters or on the web site.
The International Tourism Trade Fair, FITUR, will be opening from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the professional days. Along the weekend the schedule changes closing on Saturday at 8 p.m. and on Sunday at 6 p.m. Also the activities on the visitors’ days will be different including an encounter of amateur’s photographers, several contest with prizes and especial discount offers on trips and hosting.
