Dominican Republic has many faces and Mother Nature provides beauty to each one. A little trip from Puerto Plata to Jarabacoa allow us to enjoy a unique panoramic route, ideal for those who enjoy the great outdoors landscapes and photography enthusiasts.
From Puerto Plata, one of the most typically Caribbean enclaves of Dominican Republic, we headed to another point purely Dominican too but furthest from the concept of sea and beach that tourism in general has in mind.
We will enjoy an inland tour, just over 100 kilometers to take us to Jarabacoa, ‘the city of eternal spring’. Here the temperature is cooler, ranging between 18 and 25 º C. This mild climate is ideal for relaxing in a soothing landscape, amidst lush nature that has no lacks in its detail.
We are in the middle of two National Parks: José del Carmen Ramirez and Armando Bermudez, a paradise for lovers of rafting, trekking, canyoning and all kinds of adventure sports and activities. Furthermore, from Jarabacoa we can make a visit to Duarte Peak, the highest mountain in the Caribbean, with its almost 3100 meters high.
Keeping this in mind, the route from Puerto Plata to Jarabacoa becomes a must for those who want to know all the natural aspects of the island and for those wishing to enjoy a close contact with the best of Dominican nature, in an area famous for the hospitality of its inhabitants.
