Travelling to Samana is to knowing at one stroke the beautiful Caribbean beaches, the tough mangrove, the forest in all its glory, water pipes, springs, rivers and magnificent thundering waterfalls.
This is the case of Salto del Limon, a waterfall of over 40 meters high that by itself is quite a natural spectacle. However, the road to the hill on which the waterfall starts is also fascinating.

There are several ways to access to the Salto del Limon and enjoy a nice bath. One of the most common is guided along a hiking route, although we must keep in mind that the path involves some physical preparation.
During rainy season it’s best to take advantage of the horseback guided excursions. Tame equines, accustomed to the road that can be mounted up even if you do not have the slightest experience.
