This company, a legend and of course an institution, is the seed of the National Ballet of Cuba, the bigger school of dance in the world, which come to form the most prestigious dancers on the planet.
The National Ballet of Cuba was born before the revolution, at the end of the 1940’s, from the hand of the Alonso brothers, with Alicia as the undisputed star. But since the Cuban revolution, the company experienced a renewal and received the support they needed to overcome all the basic principles of the world of ballet.
The extraordinary ballerina Alicia Alonso and his cast began to travel around the world, receiving all the honours, awards and decorations that an artistic company can imagine.
Italy has just reward the career of the extraordinary dancer that continues directing the National Ballet at the age of 91. If you are going to enjoy a stay in our Be Live Hotel in Varadero, be sure to schedule a visit to Havana to admire the beauty of the creations of the Cuban ballet.
