It is one of the most notable places of Majorca, the largest of the islands of the Balearic archipelago. To the North, in the same municipality of Pollença, we find the Cap of Formentor, a unique and beautiful natural landscape that, even in the Mediterranean, has touches of the Scotland Highlands.

There are no mountain waterfalls, or the spectacular green Emerald, almost conducive for housing elves, so typical in the Scottish mountains. However, Cap Formentor offers panoramic views that, depending on the day and the weather conditions, transmit the hardness of the cliffs of the North.

In the same way, this beautiful Majorcan land is littered with pine trees and Mediterranean scrub, bathed with the deep blue of the Mare Nostrum, full of saltpeter varnished by the Balearic Islands light.

It’s funny, but it is not the appropriate place for walks and exploration of paths and roads. On the contrary, the topography of Cap Formentor involves too much difficulty to venture, even if you find a nature trail.

However we will not be deprived of that long-awaited panoramic view of Cap Formentor, which, in this case, comes from the winding road that covers the 13 kilometers that separate the landform of the port of Pollença.

The spectacular images obtained from this road are undeniable and at that meeting point of the Majorcan winds, place for the gloating of the Tramuntana, it’s where they say that it is the most beautiful road of Mallorca.

Of course, you should not miss the opportunity to also enjoy the road to the lighthouse, one of the most romantic points of the itinerary.
